Enhanced Plutonium Facility Utilization

The U.S. Department of Energy’s National Nuclear Security Administration published a Notice of Intent in the Federal Register on January 13, 2025, to prepare a Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement (SEIS) that will evaluate enhanced plutonium facility utilization at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory’s Plutonium Facility. On November 18, 2025, DOE announced a Notice of Change in Process in the Federal Register.
